Happy New Year!

In Seattle we do this crazy thing every New Year's Eve. We try to blow up our best known city icon by shooting fireworks off it. It's quite spectacular. Not sure my polaroid captured that. I'd get too excited and forget to wait until the fireworks filled more of the frame before pushing the shutter. Plus, I swear the Space Needle looked bigger and seemed to fill more of the frame through the viewfinder than is represented in the image. Still, it was fun trying.

New Year's Eve is the day after my birthday. Therefore, every year we do too much on my birthday and are too tired for very much New Year's revelry. We just barely made it to the fireworks at midnight, then it was back home not too long after. It's starting to be nice to have mostly quiet New Year's Eves.

Check out Heather's and Lorissa's 5x7 deal. Great idea. Please do contribute to an aid organization if you can.
